EARLY INTERVENTION CENTRE
EARLY INTERVENTION CENTRE
Every child deserves equal opportunities to learn and have a fulfilling life
Anitet Early Intervention Centre (EIC) is a collaborative project between Keystone Education Society, Charis Educational Society, and Aoyimti Baptist Arogo.
Our mission is to provide specialized early intervention support services for children with special educational needs (SEN).
We firmly believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life, and our dedicated team is committed to helping each child reach their fullest potential.
Our goal is to help the children become school-ready, i.e., prepared to learn together with peers in regular mainstream schools
Special Educational Needs (SEN) refer to the specific educational requirements of individuals who have learning difficulties that require additional support and resources to access education effectively.
These needs can be physical, cognitive, sensory, emotional, or behavioural in nature, that result in challenges with learning and development.
At present, Anitet EIC is prepared to support children who have special educational needs that arise due to the following:
Our future plans involve support services for children with:
An early intervention centre is a nurturing and supportive environment designed to provide specialized care and education for young children with special educational needs (SEN).
Early intervention refers to the provision of targeted services to children from birth to six years of age to address developmental delays, disabilities, or learning difficulties at the earliest possible stage.
At Anitet, we offer support services for children aged 2 (two) years to 8 (eight) years to help build their foundational learning abilities. Support for children aged above 8 years will be considered case by case.
We believe in the power of family support. Parents and guardians are encouraged to actively participate in their child’s progress and are provided with guidance to continue supporting their child at home.
We develop personalized IFSPs for each child, focusing on their specific strengths and challenges, and how family collaboration will be incorporated. These plans serve as roadmaps for their journey towards independent learning
Our centre incorporates occupational therapy and speech therapy into the IFSP, to help children improve communication, motor skills, and sensory integration. We plan to integrate professional support for speech therapy and occupational/physiotherapy in the near future, as well as ASL/ISL (sign language) sessions.
Anitet EIC will operate from TUESDAY to SATURDAY
Session 1: 10 AM to 12 NOON
Session 2: 1 PM to 3PM
Our doors will open in October 2023
